STEVE RICKER - GUITAR AND LEAD VOCALS, Steve (center) is the sole remaining
member of the original Crosscut Saw, having started the band himself in
1985. He is from Easton, PA, and is a graduate of Easton Area High School,
still residing in Easton with his family to this very day. Steve has been
studying and playing the guitar for over 30 years now, and his dedication
to the advancement of his abilities remains unmatched to this day. He is
a tireless worker, and has mastered the instrument he loves, playing many
thousands of hours over the years. A truly accomplished singer, Steve is
the lead vocalist of the band and sings over 75% of our songs with tremendous
professionalism. He is, without a doubt, a credit to the local music scene,
and a shining example of what one can accomplish through hard work, persistence,
and an unwavering belief in oneself!
MICHAEL FRITCHMAN - PERCUSSION AND VOCALS, Mike (pictured right) is from
Bethlehem Township and is a graduate of Freedom High School, where he was
the President of the highly-touted FHS marching band in 1986! He has been
drumming for over 30 years, and has dedicated his life to his abilities
as a set drummer. "As a bandmate, and his rhythm section partner,
I think sometimes I take Mike for granted," says Kenny. "He is
so solid, and yet so dynamic...but at this point, I'm so used to it!"
Such words from a bass player are an incredible compliment. Mike is the
perfect percussionist for a 3-piece band, as his ability to fill sound
is certainly not something that many drummers have, especially when one
considers that he often sings at the same time. He is methodical, and yet
seems so natural on his instrument, which is uncanny to say the least.
Mike is a gifted performer, and is truly one of the area's most significant
drummers!
KENNY SPAULDING - BASS GUITAR AND VOCALS, Kenny (pictured left) is from
Bethlehem, PA, is also a graduate of Freedom High School, and holds a BA
in Music from Syracuse University. He is a dynamic bass player with strong
vocals and the ability to really drive a song. Kenny has been playing the
bass guitar for over 15 years, and singing seriously for over 20, training
in opera while in college. He worked as a solo artist for many years writing
over 75 original songs, before joining up with Steve and Mike, and now
has come to love being a stage performer. Kenny takes up the mic for lead
vocals on many of Crosscut Saw's numbers, and was long ago labeled, "An
Ace In The Hole-Type Singer" by Mike. He is an intense and emotional
performer with a strong musical mind who has come a long way in developing
as an instrumentalist.
